Our Team

I work in various artistic media, such as oil painting, stained glass, illustration, and graphic design.

Former faculty at Columbia College of Chicago, I graduated from what is now the Vilnius Academy of Arts where I studied painting, drawing, and stained-glass design. I created, on commission, stained-glass windows and interior designs for many public buildings. My illustrations have appeared in books and magazines and my paintings have been exhibited in galleries in Europe and the United States.

I also pursued the study of Zen for last 22 years, including a rigorous seven-year retreat and residency at the Providence Zen Center and often participate in long and short meditation retreats with internationally respected Zen Masters and fellow practitioners.

I dedicate and devote my life to my art and the study and practice of Zen Buddhism. The two converge, influence, and inspire each other.

Wade Roberts

I am a seventh-generation Texan, born and raised in Houston.

Currently I serve on the City of Galveston’s Cultural Arts Commission.

Former tenured faculty and department head at Columbia College of Chicago, I have conducted seminars at universities across the United States. I have been a published journalist, magazine staff writer and editor, film/video documentary maker, photographer, radio technician, comic book editorial director, patient and animal rescue pilot, concert and theatre stage crew member and lighting director, and pyrotechnician.

Pronounced dead seven times after a freak car accident, and after awakening from a six week coma, I recovered. I now devote my time and energy to Ten Thousand Eyes, my photography, blues slide guitar and the study and documentation of various American music forms, such as Delta and Texas shuffle blues, Cajun, zydeco, and Tex-Mex border music.
